First time here and I loved it! I tried the cinnamon turon with oat milk and it was really good. Even with just one employee working, my order was made quickly and everything was great. Definitely coming back!
Saw this on Instagram feed and had to see if it lived up to the hype—it did! With a bonus of a nice outdoor play area right out front that kept my son entertained while I sipped. I ordered the Iced Mango Matcha and it was a 10/10; it hit the spot perfectly on this hot day. Definitely my new go-to when I am in the area!
This place is a great, lively addition to the Westwood food and coffee scene. The drink menu has a wide variety of options featuring a number of traditional house-made filipino syrups and combinations, such as the Latik Latte or Ube Matcha. The coffee was very strong and well balanced, the matcha was high quality and a vibrant green, and the drinks had fun toppings. The service was great, the baristas are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great for studying or catching up with friends, with chill house music playing in the background and large windows letting in lots of sunlight. Each drink is around $7.50 and there are no food options yet, but the space is very relaxing and I would definitely stop by for a morning pick me up or after class caffeine hit!
We ended up here after realizing we were too early for the Getty, and according to Maps, this was the closest coffee spot so off we went. It’s a Filipino-inspired pop-up (hopefully going permanent), and the vibe is super inviting. The decor is cozy, making it a great place to just sit and enjoy a good cup of coffee. I got the Ubeng Ube, which was amazing, but honestly, my boyfriend’s salted latik was even better. The place had a nice, chill atmosphere, pretty quiet, and everyone was respectful of space. The barista was super friendly and knew their stuff. Wish I lived closer so I could come back, but if you’re in the area, definitely check them out!
Dare I say new favorite coffeeshop in Westwood? Genuinely this might be the best matcha I’ve had here. Ambiant study atmosphere, cute decor, and great location right on Broxton. Shoutout for not upcharging for syrups and alt milks- my $7 ube almondmilk matcha would probably be like $8 or $9 at other places
There’s something special about Boondocks Coffee Roasters. It’s not just coffee, it’s a morning hug, a mid-day reset, and a quiet “you’ve got this” when you need it most. The kind of coffee that doesn’t just wake you up, it welcomes you in. Every cup feels like community; warm, inclusive, and a little rebellious in the best way. You don’t have to know anything about tasting notes or origins… you just have to love good coffee and good people. Boondocks isn’t trying too hard, they’re just really, really great at what they do :) Adding this place to my daily routine ☕️🤎
Best coffee in Westwood! Get the boonies einspanner!!! Great spot to study not far from ucla campus/hill. Nice area (Broxton Plaza). Usually quite busy, sometimes a bit of a line but definitely worth the wait. It is somewhat expensive though.
Boondocks Coffee Roasters is a real treat for coffee enthusiasts, as not only do they serve coffee beverages with influence and ingredients from the Philippines, but also utilize more unique brewing methods such as a Kyoto-style cold brewing technique. The drinks are delicious and you can tell the care for quality that goes into their preparation. The baristas themselves are also very welcoming and helpful. Tiffany knew me by name by my third visit. 😺
February 2026: Stopped by for a pour over coffee ☕. Was very pleased with my coffee. Chose the Guji Natural which has tasting notes 🎶 of apricot, jasmine and tart cherry 🍒. I think the coffee 🎶 was spot on. Takes a little longer for pour over, but it is well worth it. Thanks for a fabulous cup of coffee.
Very good coffee and matcha. Boonies einspeinner is my new favorite here. They use good beans and skilled in coffee. a fun signature selection menu. more basic / traditional coffee items such as latte are also very solid here. Good vibes and good study spot. Can get crowded sometimes.
